About the Event
OUR MISSION
At Art Can Heal, our mission is to spread mental health awareness through the power of art. Through our mental health panel during our gala "Art Can Heal" aims to shed light on the struggles of social media addiction, the detrimental effects of cyberbullying, body shaming, and media attacks, and the positive and negative effects social media can have on your mental health. Our panel will be sharing real life experiences of their struggles and triumphs with the social media world. Our goal is to educate and guide our future generations towards using their online presence for good.
EVENT PANEL MISSION
This gala will feature a panel that will consist of social media specialist and cyber bullying attack survivors. They will be sharing their experiences on how they have battled mental health due the social media scrutney and what they had to do to turn themselves from victims to victors. Through this panel we aspire to inform everyone on social media safety, compassion for trauma victims, and resilience through perseverance. The donations collected during this panel will ensure us taking the proper measures spreading mental health awareness; social media safety, and how to begin to overcome trauma by healing through art. We will be using the proceeds to create educational videos using influencers and their platforms to captivate larger audiences and spread mental health awareness, and create art lesson plans including emotional intelligence and art healing to distribute to urban communities for free. Together, let us build a better future through the healing power of art.
